Sumer Lee Fullerton Obituary

Sumer Lee Fullerton

On June 20, 1975, the announcement read, “A Star is Born”. Sumer Lee did indeed become a star in our life. Her enthusiasm, energy, talent and loving smile brightened the lives of the many people she met. Her young years at Village Christian Church were filled with laughter and friends.

Sumer loved horseback riding and would take off on Costa for Hansen Dam where she could wander for hours. She loved track and softball. As a teenager she worked as the receptionist at our printing company. Clients loved her welcoming voice. She had a gift of recognizing peoples voices and always greeted them warmly. Over the years she received many accolades from clients stating what a delight she was to work with and requesting updates on how she was doing.

As an adult, Sumer traveled many roads that eventually led to the birth of her daughter, EmberLee. Ember became the focus of her life, bringing hours of joy to her heart.

Cancer came in the winter of 2021. She settled in Lakeport with her partner of 24+ years, Michael Lazar and daughter, EmberLee. Her relaxing time was spent on many art, craft and garden projects andmaking things for Ember. In 2024 she had a bumper crop of Pumpkins, that was the envy of us all.

On January 4, 2025 Sumer Lee passed peacefully, at home in Bachelor Valley, joining two of her favorite people; her father, Michael Todd and grandmother, Patricia Starke.

Sumer is survived by Michael; daughter, EmberLee; mother, Linda; brother, Greg and his wife, Krista and family, Zachary, Elliett, Juliette and Teddy; sister, Laurie Fullerton, her granddaughter, Emma and her husband, Justin Johnson; sister, Suzanne Fullerton, her grandson, Cord Michael, and her great granddaughter, Scarlett; sister, Carolyn Fullerton Greene, her grandson, Teejayee Greene, his wife Katie, and their children, Gavin and Tempie and Wesley Greene and his great grandson, Ryder; Uncle Teddy and Aunt Jackie Rodrigues; cousin, Makaila, her husband, Kevin Benjamin, their children, Braydon and Bryce; cousin, Nick Rodrigues; Aunt Carmen Schultz, her daughter, Julia and husband, Marc Carithers and their daughter, Maya, and grandson, Philodice Schultz.

Sumer Lee’s love and exuberant enthusiasm for life is sincerely missed.

Graveside services were held December 30, 2025 at Kelseyville Cemetery.

Sumer Lee

It wasn’t just your name, it was you.

From the very start, it was so vibrant and true.

The way you walked through life so beautifully,

The open road called, and you answered with glee.

You lived your life the way you wanted, happy and free,

Beloved Aunt Sumer your spirit lives on in me.

I will never forget the everlasting effect you had,

You loved me fiercely, and your light made me glad.

With every sunset I feel your warm glow,

In the gentle breeze, your laughter, I know.

Memories linger like the scent of pine,

Each moment with you is a treasured sign.

The stars in the sky echo your light,

Guiding me forward through each silent night.

Though seasons may change and time may stray,

Your spirit dances in my heart, come what may.

I carry your joy, your warmth with me still,

A reminder of love and dreams to fulfill.

For in every adventure, in each twist and turn,

you taught me to live, to love, and to yearn.

So here’s to the days, the laugher, the tears,

To the beauty of moments that conquered my fears.

Aunt Sumer, my friend, forever you’ll be,

A part of my soul, forever set free.

I will never forget the everlasting effect your had.

Thank you, Sumer, I love you.
