Angel Garcia Gonzalez 1947-2026

Angel "Naranja" Garcia Gonzalez was born on March 2nd, 1947 in Atecucario, Michoacan, Mexico to Jose Maria Garcia Sandoval and Maria Gonzalez Barriga and was one of ten children. Angel passed away on January 26th, 2026 at the CPMC Van Ness Campus in San Francisco with family by his side.

Angel came to the United States at the age of 18 and traveled along the western coast working in agriculture and with animals just like he did back home in Mexico. He had a passion for working on his garden, spending time with friends and family, watching western movies and story telling. He sure could make people laugh and put a smile on their face.

Angel joins his mother and father in heaven along with some of his siblings and extended family. He is survived by his former spouse Tina Garcia as well as his children Julio Garcia, Angelica Garcia and his grandchildren that he loved so very much, Valentina Garcia-Duran and Vicente Garcia-Duran.

Angel will be greatly missed by his family as well as members of his community.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM with Rosary Service at 6:00 PM.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2026 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church at 4085 Main Street in Kelseyville, CA followed by Burial at Kelseyville Cemetery immediately after Mass.
