Antonio "La Pajara" Moreno Obituary

Antonio Moreno 1950-2026

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved, husband and father, who left us peacefully on January 24, 2026. Antonio Salas Moreno, affectionately known as "La Pajara," was born on November 20, 1950 in Cojumatlan, Mexico to loving parents Eliseo & Rosario Moreno.

Antonio was a devoted husband, loving father, adoring grandfather and generous friend. He was a man whose compassion and strength touched everyone around him. He lived his life humbly with integrity, kindness and an unwavering devotion to his family. Those that knew him will remember his warm smile, great sense of humor, over generous heart, constant singing, and his steady presence that brought comfort and joy.

His hobbies and interests helped define who he was. His love for horticulture, outdoors and soccer was something he shared with all, leaving a mark on us that will never fade. He spent any and all free time outside working with his tools or in his garden yet he never missed a Chivas game. He enjoyed planting all kinds of crops, flowers, and had a talent for grafting fruit trees, yet he felt the most happiness sharing his harvest with all his family, friends and neighbors.

Throughout his life, Antonio worked hard to provide for those he loved and always offered guidance with laughter and love to those fortunate enough to know him. He always bragged about his children and how proud he was of them. His grandchildren brought him so much joy and gave him the strength to live happily during his challenging last years of life. His legacy of tireless hard work, love for family, passion for gardening, perseverance, and faith will continue to live on through his family and friends.

We love and will miss you immensely. You were always someone we could count on. We thank you for all the calls, wise words of advice (wanted & unwanted), how you gave us everything you could even when there wasn't much to give, and your boundless love for us. Though you may be gone from our sight, your love and light will never fade from our lives. We will forever keep you in our hearts with God. We find comfort in knowing that you are finally at peace and that your legacy will live on through all you taught us and the memories we will cherish forever.

Antonio is survived by his wife, Lilia Moreno; son, Tony & daughter-in-law, Lupe Moreno; daughter, Liliana & son in law, Stephen Gleason; daughter, Rosa Moreno; his grandchildren, Jessica, Julissa & Ayden Moreno; Carly, Tiana & Brody Gleason; and Cash Moreno; his brother, Luis Moreno & sister in law, Olivia Pulido; and sister, Teresa & brother in law, Jesus Villa.
