Virginia “Ginny” Reordan (1946–2026)


Virginia “Ginny” Reordan, born in Marshall, Texas passed away unexpectedly on Monday , March 9, 2026, at the age of 79 while living in Lakeport, California, surrounded by the love of her family.


Ginny was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother who cherished time spent with her family. She was happiest when everyone was together, and those gatherings were the moments she treasured most. Her Catholic faith was very important to her and remained a guiding presence throughout her life. She loved animals and always enjoyed having them around the house. Ginny remained closely connected to her roots in Jefferson, Texas, where she was part of a very large extended family and shared lifelong bonds with many cousins in the area.


Ginny lived for many years in Vacaville, California, where she raised her family and worked for the Vacaville Unified School District as a teacher’s aide supporting students. Her patience and caring nature made a lasting impact on the students and families she worked with. After retiring, Ginny and Richard moved to Rio Vista, where they built many wonderful friendships through the people she met at St. Joseph’s Church.


Ginny is survived by her loving husband, Richard Reordan, and the two would have celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on March 27th. Her children, Michelle (Ron) and Lance (Andrea); and her grandchildren, David (Kirstinn), Weston, Zachary, and Scarlett. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Diane Green, and the many nieces and nephews of Jon and Diane’s large and loving family.


She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Heather; her brother, Jon Allen Green; her sister, Mary Lynn Green; and her parents, Lynn Faust Green and Adelaide Wise Green.


A Rosary followed by a Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, located at 801 N Main St in Lakeport, on Saturday, March 28th at 10:30 AM.

Ginny’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who have reached out with their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
