Thomas Jerry Marshall Obituary

Thomas Jerry Marshall, 93, of Hidden Valley Lake, California, passed away on April 14, 2026. He was born on August 14, 1932, in San Francisco, California.

Thomas was a man defined by strength, discipline, and unwavering principles. He took pride in everything he owned and loved, lived by the rules, and never tolerated anything less than respect. He was the kind of man you either loved or didn't—but no one ever crossed him. Beneath that tough exterior was a deeply loyal and loving heart, one that those closest to him were fortunate enough to truly know.

A proud Marine veteran, Thomas served as a sniper during the Korean War and later worked in intelligence during the Vietnam War. His bravery and service earned him two Purple Hearts. He was also a competitive marksman, traveling the world as part of pistol and rifle teams. After his military service, he continued his commitment to public service as a Sheriff and for PG&E before retiring.

Thomas had a deep passion for golf. He competed at a high level for many years, winning numerous tournaments and club championships. He was also actively involved with the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) as a rules official and rater. Beyond golf, he loved shooting sports and had a deep appreciation for classic cars, spending countless hours collecting and restoring hot rods.

Thomas and his beloved wife, Diana, shared a love of travel. Together they explored the world on many cruises, collecting art along the way—pieces that reflected their adventures and the life they built together.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Diana Lee Marshall; his son, Jason Bouchard Marshall and wife Ryan; stepson, Bryan Bouchard; grandchildren Bryann, Kyleen and husband Mark, Bryce, and Jackson; and great-grandchildren Logan, Zander, Mathew, and Cameron. He is also survived by his brother, Jerry Marshall; his sister, Dorothy; and his nephews and niece, David, Debbie, and Doug.

Thomas came into Jason's life during his junior high years, becoming the father figure who would shape the course of his life. He instilled a deep sense of responsibility, accountability, and what it truly meant to be a man. Every major decision Jason made as an adult was guided, supported, or firmly challenged by Thomas. Though he never pushed, his influence was undeniable—even inspiring a path into military service, despite some playful rivalry between Marine and Navy traditions.

Thomas was a fierce man with a powerful presence, but those who were lucky enough to see his softer side understood the depth of his love and loyalty. His impact on his family will be felt for generations, and the lessons he passed down will never be forgotten.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
