Ronald Earl Conley Obituary

In Loving Memory of Ronald Earl Conley 5/20/42 - 6/06/26.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron Conley, a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. Ron went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of faith, hard work, integrity, and love.

Ron was born and raised in Upper Lake, CA, and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army Reserve, carrying with him a lifelong sense of duty, integrity, and commitment. After completing his military service, he built a successful career in construction as a general contractor, founding Conley Construction and earning widespread respect for his skill, determination, and unwavering work ethic. One of his proudest achievements was becoming the youngest person to pass the contractor’s exam on his first attempt, a remarkable testament to his intelligence, drive, and dedication to his craft.

A man of faith, Ron loved the Lord. He found comfort and strength in Scripture and read the Bible from beginning to end more times than could be counted. His faith was not only something he believed but something he strived to live every day through his actions, generosity, and character.

Hard work defined much of Ron’s life. As a young teenager, he began working to help support his single mother and his two younger sisters, helping put food on the table and providing for his family. That same dedication and selflessness remained with him throughout his life. He never shied away from responsibility and always put the needs of those he loved before his own.

Above all, Ron will be remembered for his strength, perseverance, kindness, and his occasionally ornery spirit. Most of all, he will be remembered for the deep love he had for his family. His example will continue to inspire everyone who knew him.

Ron is survived by his children, Christy (Roy) Galloway and Dedie (Mike) Quigley; his wife, Barbara Lee Conley; his grandchildren, David (Lindsey) Quigley, Ryan (Amanda) Strugnell, Stephanie Quigley, Britney Rose White, Morgan Rose, Kiana Dittman, and Collin Galloway; his sister, Dale Cam; as well as his cherished great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ron was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Ida Grace Glazier; his former wife, Shirley Conley, the mother of his children—with whom he shared 33 meaningful years of marriage; his son and best friend, Danny Rose; his daughter, Stacie Rose; and his sister, Wilda Beavers. Each held a special place in his heart and left a lasting imprint on his life.

A Celebration of Ron’s life will be held Saturday, September 12,2026 (save the date) at Medina’s Watering Hole in Lakeport, CA. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share memories, and honor his life together. Additional details will be shared as the date approaches.
