Bonnie Skee, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2026, after a courageous battle with bone marrow leukemia. She was 82 years old.

As we reflect on Bonnie's life, we're reminded that the most important part isn't the dates at either end of a life—it's the dash in between. Bonnie filled her dash with love, laughter, hard work, and countless memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Bonnie enjoyed a long career with State Farm, where she built lasting friendships and earned the respect of those she worked alongside. Outside of work, she found joy in tending to her garden, where she nurtured beautiful flowers and plants with the same love she gave to her family. She was also a familiar face at Running Creek Casino, where she enjoyed spending time with friends. She proudly served as a board member of the local Historical Society, helping preserve the stories and heritage of her community. Bonnie also loved to sew and she found happiness in cooking, and always made sweet treats during the holidays, a tradition her family will always remember with love.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Skee; her cherished children, Tracy Skee and Shelley Skee; her mother, Violet Miller; and her older sister, Jeannie Knoblauch. She is survived by her loving sister, Kathie Miller; her grandchildren, Danielle Brooks, Melissa Soares, and Joseph Skee; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Johnathan Miller Jr., Jayden Miller, Hailey Brooks, Thomas Brooks, Melany Soares, and Payton Trujillo. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Bonnie's kindness, strength, sense of humor, and love for her family will never be forgotten. Though she is no longer with us, the seeds of love she planted throughout her life will continue to bloom in the lives of those she touched.
