Nancy was the first child of Clyde Kite and Dorothy Robbins Kite of Kelseyville, California. She was one of seven children: Bonnie Kite, Donna Wieck, Joan Cooney, Joanne Conrad (deceased), Claude Kite and Barbara Kriens.

Nancy was a quiet and sometimes stubborn, talented and caring person. She loved and raised animals and went to veterinary college when she was young. She quit college to provide care for our father and was never able to return to that dream. Instead, she made a place here as a dog groomer on Kelsey Creek Drive for over 30 years. She raised goats and a garden. She successfully competed in the county fair with flowers and arrangements for decades. Every Easter she sold daffodils in a roadside stand. She taught leather work and repair to the local 4H and Campfire girls. She loved reading and books. In later years she was co-owner of an online bookstore and collectibles store. I hope some of the community will remember her when they reflect on her life here. Maybe have a smile when they see a baby goat or daffodils in the Spring.
