Faron "Cody" Timmons Obituary

Faron “Cody” Timmons 1957-2026

Faron “Cody” Timmons, age 69, Passed away on August 20th, 2026.

Cody was a mountain man at heart. He loved being outdoors, dropping trees, splitting wood, hunting, exploring, and living life in his own way. He was a hardworking man who spent many years in construction, often working alongside his best friend Jimmer “James” Holt. But their friendship was much more than that- they were brothers in every way that mattered. When they weren’t working, they were usually dreaming of their next hunting trip, sharing stories, or finding some kind of adventure to get themselves into.

Cody is now reunited with his father, Jake Timmons; his brothers, Flint “Butch” Timmons and Stony Timmons; his sister, Wanda; and his lifelong best friend/ brother at heart, Jimmer “James” Holt, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He leaves behind his mother, Dorie Timmons; sister, Stephanie; and his two children, Corrie (Goose) Murray, Willy Tujays Timmons; and his son-in-law, Matthew.

Above all else Cody was a grandpa. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Takoda, Lesliana, Elayna, Rhianna, Theyawner, Cletus, and many more along with three great grandchildren, His grandchildren knew him not just as grandpa but as the person who would take them along for an adventure and make an ordinary day into a memory they would never forget.

Some of Codys greatest adventures were the simplest ones. Picking blackberries, swimming in the levees, exploring outside, getting dirty, laughing, just being together. He didn’t need anything fancy to make a day special. He had a way of turning the smallest moments into stories that would be told for years. Those are memories that his grandchildren will carry with them- the sound of his voice, his laughter, his stories and the feeling of being beside their grandpa on one of their many adventures.

And then there were Cody's jokes. If you knew Cody, you knew you better have a sense of humor. He could tease you, make you laugh, and probably say something you would never forget. He had a personality that could fill a room, and his stories and jokes will continue to live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Cody wasn’t perfect and never pretended to be. He was simply Cody: strong willed, hardworking, stubborn when he wanted to be, funny when you least expect it, and always ready for the next adventure.

He leaves behind more than just memories; he leaves behind pieces of himself in his children, grandchildren, and the many people whose lives he touched.

His grandchildren will carry on his love of adventure.

His family will carry his stories.

His friends will carry his laughter.

And those who love him will carry him in their hearts.

There will never be another Cody

Though His journey on this earth has come to an end, the life he lived and the love he gave will continue through the people he left behind. Every blackberry picked, every swim in the levee, every hunting story, every laugh, and every joke will be another little reminder that he was here.

Cody will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

Until we meet again Dad.
