Obituary of Aaron Lee Griffin

Please share a memory of Aaron to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Aaron Lee Griffin September 13, 1940 - October 27, 2024 Aaron Lee Griffin, 84, passed away peacefully in his recliner listening to old tv westerns, just as he planned. Aaron was born in Red Oak, Iowa, to Vernon and Florence Griffin. He was raised to be a hard working farm boy at an early age. Aaron kept up that work ethic until his last day. Aaron lovingly built his Clearlake A-frame home with his late wife, Carolyn, (Caroline to him). They had many large, family and friend gatherings there over several decades. Lots of love, fun times and "Coors Banquet". Aaron was a farm hand in his early years in California. He eventually became a car and then a truck mechanic. His last job before retirement was at the Clearlake school bus yard where he maintained the buses. He took pride to make them safe for the kids. He loved spoiling the drivers, arriving early to warm up the buses and clean the windows before they arrived. Aaron and Carol had an awesome life together. Years of weekends raising kids, consisted of camping, boating, waterskiing, dancing in the garage, singing country songs to each other, laughing, teasing and story-telling. Aaron and Carol had some of their best times on Aaron's Harley. They traveled the country and made great memories together. In later years, the two of them rode their scooters to easily navigate their property. Aaron had a plan for everything. His heart was big and his laugh was contagious and unforgettable. Cheers to you dad, and all of the memories. We have peace knowing you have joined your "Little Indian" Caroline and "Best Buddy" Bear. We will love and miss you forever. Aaron is survived by his children, Tori Patocchi (Larry), Tammi Matthias (Larry), Marc Beaver (Amy), Tami Beaver (Audi), Teri Freitas (Joe), Danny Beaver (Trinidad), Ronnie Rueda; sister, Carol Sue Madieros; "Brother" Rick Madieros; 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, numerous in-laws and cousins. Aaron's Celebration of Life will be at his Clearlake home November 30, 2024 from 11:00 to 5:00.
