Condolences
We are saddened by the news about Bill. It was my pleasure to know him, not only as a friend, but as our Trust Attorney as well.
I always loved hearing his stories when he came back from one of their month long vacations!! I helped him many times in the
Assessor/Recorders office and he helped me to understand certain things about the law. I will miss him dearly and every memory
will continue to be a fond one. Our sincere condolences to the family.

I didn't know Bill or his family. Your words about his life were beautiful, I had to say thank you. Amazing, powerful testament to a life well lived. My most sincere condolences to anyone and everyone who loved him. Again, thank you, for sharing his story.
I am so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Tom Tilford, John Hancock, Dick Fromhold and, of course, Bill D'Amour and I have many great memories of Bill at Gonzaga. I am so sorry for your loss.
Dear family and friends of Mr. Bill Kranz.
Our deep sorrow for loosing your husband, dad and friend. Special people like Mr. Kranz are hard to meet. They are so unique. We, John and ,I had this privilege as his clients .We were lucky.

In the early 70's, we lived down the street from Bill & Mary, in an old house that is now a church parking lot. One day, on his walk to work, Bill stopped by to say hello and introduce himself, and we became neighbors and friends! We both had small children, and we spent many evenings together with Bill & Mary playing games with the little kids nearby! Their kindness made us feel so welcome in Lakeport, and it was a delight to see Bill walk back and forth to work each day. My favorite memory of Bill is a vivid one: during one Saturday brunch, he expertly cracked an egg on the side of a bowl WITH ONE HAND! I was mesmerized!
Bill was a friend and also our lawyer, and he was unfailingly humorous and brilliant! Thank you for the wonderful memories . . . here's to a life well-lived!
I was one of those 50 or so fellows who played basketball with Bill in his backyard. Those days were some of my fondest memories playing a game we all loved. I was so grateful to be included in that bunch. Thank you Bill. My sincere condolences to his family and all those who knew and loved him.
I was one of those 50 who played bball at his house almost every Sunday for many years, I looked forward to this game every week and it was always one of my highlights, Bill was always very kind and fun and I will remember those days very fondly. Thanks Bill for those great times.
What a great job on the obituary! A wonderful life story on Bill. Heartwarming to know he enjoyed his life to the end.
May he Rest In Peace.
When Bill married Colleen, he became our friend. Over the years, we shared many wonderful times together. He was a gracious and informative host as he introduced us to the many Lake County wineries that he enjoyed, and we in turn introduced him to the world of Oregon Pinot Noir. We golfed together, and my favorite memory of him golfing was not his golf game – which was very good – but rather his energetic search for errant golf balls that others had hit into the rough and along waterways. Sometimes we had to wave at him “Bill, it’s your turn to hit”! He always left with more golf balls than he started with.
In our games of cribbage (6 players, “boys” vs “girls”), Bill was always the arbiter of any dispute regarding scoring. His memory of rules was almost encyclopedic, and we never questioned his decisions.
We enjoyed countless dinners together, over many bottles of wine, and shared many stories. We looked forward to Bill & Colleen’s visits to Boise and filled as many dinner nights as we could. We also had the pleasure to stay with them in Lakeport and enjoyed his beautiful yard and charming old home.
Bill’s travels also enriched his knowledge of many other places and customs, and we learned history, culture, and sometimes “trivia” as he shared memories. His dry sense of humor was sly, and his quick smile was engaging. Being with Bill always brought a warmth and an enjoyment of his company.
Rest in peace, friend.
