My wonderful Mother in law has passed away. Some people complain about there mother in-laws, however I never did, not once. She was always sweet to me and I will always remember how she "lit up" when "her people" would greet her. She accepted me from the first day that I came to court her daughter, Jenny, (Summer of 1982 at the lake house). Evelyn was the fair one in the family always trying to treat everyone equal, but I think she liked me the best,(smile). I think she made everyone feel that way. She always cooked or baked and made sure I had seconds and even thirds. She loved so many people and had a hospitality heart. We were close. We lived together twice. Once when Jenny and I were first married, transitioning area's, we lived in their studio apartment, and the second time they moved into our guest house in the Santa Cruz mountains. She loved the outdoors, the chickens, the birds, the flowers, the garden, the plants, and even the animals. I know she loved me and I loved her and will miss her every day. Rest in peace my sweet mother.
