I worked with Carolyn at the Department of Public Works in Lake County. She was an incredible employee and worked with such dedication and perfection. She became my mentor and prepared me to handle her position when she retired from public service. She was one hard act to follow! I felt such admiration for her and appreciated her as the best mentor I could have ever encountered. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cared for her family with time, talent and money. Her talents were many, but most notable was her ability to play the organ! She installed a pipe organ in her home. Yes, she did the installation work on the pipes! Carolyn loved to garden, it was never a chore, more like a calling! Knowing Carolyn was one of the greatest pleasures of my life. She will be missed by so many, but she left an indelible footprint on this Earth.
