Obituary of Gloria Ann Walker
Please share a memory of Gloria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Gloria Ann Walker passed away on July 20, 2023, in Lakeport, California, at 67, after a two-year courageous battle with lung cancer.
She was born on June 8, 1956, to Erhardt and Ann Kreisel in Richmond, California.
She was raised in Rodeo, California, and attended Catholic School until the 8th grade. She moved on to John Swett High School, where she set many records in track, and while on summer vacations in Lake County, she won many swimming competitions at Konocti Harbor Inn.
She then moved with her family to Kelseyville, California, and graduated from Natural High School in Lakeport, California.
She attended the Ukiah School of Cosmetology and became a Beautician. She had many occupations throughout her lifetime; she worked for the U.S. Forest Service, Cook, Caretaker, Bartender, United States Postal Service, and a Parts Delivery Driver.
Gloria loved to cook for her family, especially for the holidays; she was a phenomenal seamstress and loved to garden.
Gloria was very outgoing, could make friends anywhere she went, and had a huge heart, and would help in any way she could.
Gloria is survived by her three children, whom she loved very much, Richard (Karen) Knight, Brian (Natalie) Knight, and Brittani (Jesse Merritt) Walker; her grandchildren Jaden Knight, Kaylob Knight, Ashlynne Knight, and Kodi Merritt; Great-grandchild Nolan Knight; and sister Joyce Burns. She spent 37 years married to the love of her life, Bryan Walker. Gloria had many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
Gloria wished to spend eternity in the ocean, so her children will spread her ashes and say their final goodbyes at a later date.
Goodbye is not forever. Goodbye is not the end. It simply means I'll miss you until we meet again.
