We are sad to announce the death of Robert Francis Derenthal at the age of 88. Bob was the loving husband of Catherine Ryan — married to her for 49 years, including 23 years of happy retirement in Lakeport.
Bob’s career mirrored his intelligence and curiosity. He was a radio DJ, experimental psychologist and hospital executive. At home, he maintained his own 8-thousand book library.
Bob was predeceased by his son, Daniel and survived by son, Thomas; daughter, Susan Lockhart; his former wife, Andree Carlson; and four grandchildren.
A service will be conducted later in Collegeville, Minnesota.
